Meet David, owner and primary care provider.
David Campbell-O’Dell, DNP, APRN-IP, FNP-BC, FAANP. is a board-certified advanced practice nurse registered with the Florida Board of Nursing to practice autonomously. Services are provided independently and are not under the supervision of a physician.
David earned a doctor of nursing practice degree and is an advanced practice nurse in independent practice. He is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and also a Fellow in the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He has been an RN since 1977 and an NP since 2002.
Clinical experiences include acute care, critical care, emergency services, family practice/primary care, home health/community services, urgent care, neurology, and infectious disease.
He has also been an instructor and professor teaching nursing students earning bachelor’s, master’s, nurse practitioner, and doctorate degrees.
He is a Florida resident living in the Lower Keys—about 15 miles up the road from Key West.
Mission and Vision
The mission of Good Health Outcomes, PLLC, is to provide affordable, reliable, primary care telehealth services to Florida residents. The vision is to provide these services in a timely manner (to meet the needs of the customer) scheduled to not interrupt daily activities.
Here’s the rationale for this mission. Currently, if you have a health problem, you need to either miss a day of work or leave work early to go to a medical office. If an appointment is needed, it may take days if not weeks to be seen. The cost of these services for self-pay may range from $150 to $450 for a single visit. The time involved in the visit is typically no more than 15 minutes.
If you DO have insurance, you may get in and out without a copay, but chances are you are asked to make a copay or a percentage of the bill. If asked to pay, it may be a percentage of the total bill up to and perhaps more than 50% of the bill. This could hit your wallet hard.
These services, when appropriate for telehealth, can be much more affordable and convenient. That is the foundation of the mission of Good Health Outcomes, PLLC reflecting our mission and vision for services.
Core Values in Action
To appreciate how core values are the foundation of this telehealth company, please indulge a little background information.
Good Health Outcomes, PLLC, came about after years of the primary clinician working in multiple environments. All of these settings had goals of meeting the needs of the patient (or the student), yet they were all driven by insurance reimbursement or tuition. Those without the funds received abbreviated services, often at a lower caliber, or were turned away. This may not have been intentional, but equity was not an option for most.
The core value of providing care to all, regardless of third-party payment options, has been a vision for many years, and now we have this opportunity.
Has anyone attended the Drag Queen Bingo session that takes place at 801 Duval on Sunday afternoons? The money generated from a day’s session goes to help people in need pay for essential services, such as their electric bill, or rent, or food. People reach out to help others. That was the impetus to build Good Health Outcomes, PLLC: people helping people. Expanding services to include information to help improve and maintain health and provide a mechanism for participants to help others, and we have a winning opportunity for core values to be demonstrated in action.
We cannot wait on political or insurance company leaders to provide needed help. We are moving forward with services that help improve health outside of these political and corporate restraints. Be a part of this effort and schedule an appointment.
